Sean first started acting with his local drama group in Maryhill. He acted with them for 5 years. Then, when Sean was about 10, he recieved his first professional role as the son of MacDuff in the play Macbeth. He performed it at the Tron Theatre in Glascow. After that he joined the Scottish Youth Theatre and spent 6 years performing with them. It was when he was performing with the Scottish Youth Theatre, when actor Alan Rickman "discovered" him and offered him the part in The Winter Guest. Then, finally, in 1999 Sean asked Alan if he knew anyone who would represent him. Alan put him in touch with his own agent, Paul Lyon-Maris. They met, and a week later he successfully auditioned for Harry Potter......and the rest is history......(Loosely taken from Seanbiggerstaff.com)
